    What does RPO means in Disaster Recovery?

    Recovery Point Objective (RPO) describes the interval of time elapsed during a disruption before the quantity of data lost during that period exceeds your Business Continuity Plan’s maximum tolerance. In other words, if your last backup was taken 10hrs ago and your RPO goal is 20hrs max, then you are within acceptable threshold.

    Individual recovery points are easily accessible through the web interface where users can select individual files, directories or entire file systems to be restored within minutes. When disaster really strikes, a complete server can be recovered using a Bare Metal Restore method (BMR), keeping downtime and data loss to a minimum.

    What does RTO means in Disaster Recovery?

    The Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is the length of time within which your business process MUST be restored after a disaster in order to avoid unacceptable consequences. RTO is the answer to the question: “How long will it take to recover after notification disruption?“

    RTO designates the variable amount of data that will be lost or will have to be re-entered during network downtime. RTO dictates the amount of “real time” that can pass before the disruption begins to seriously impact business Operations.
